Here are a few pics of the tree we got today. We had fun decorating it and then the kids had a little reward. Marshmallows. I love the smell of a real Christmas tree.

Hey........We Are Hiding!!!!
Okay, You Found Me
We headed back to the island for Thanksgiving to spend it with Dave's family. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We stayed until Saturday. Dave did some more work at their house....new bathroom counter tops, installed doors, did trim...the whole nine yards. He is very handy and good at what he does. We went to the beach after we ate on turkey day to walk of our full bellies. It was a beautiful sunset. The kids played in the fort on the beach they had built before. Then on our way home we to the boys to Fort Casey. They had a blast. Colten was trying to give me a heart attack by leaning over the edge and running on the concrete steps. They have no fear!

Too Cute!
They Had Sooooooo Much Fun Playing
Two weekends ago we headed up to Whidbey to see the grandparents. Also went so Dave and his brothers could build new counter tops for his parents kitchen. They turned out amazing. There is a lot of talent between these guys. Cam and Colten had playing with there cousin Matthew. The only bummer was that Colten was super sick with croup......AGAIN!!!! Twice in one month. He is just always getting croup. It doesn't stop him from having a good time though!!!
Seeing how I am horrible about sending pictures to people I decided I would make a blog for those who live far away. We are a family of seven and we live in Washington. We love the seasons and our beautiful surroundings, even if it means we also have to deal with the rain. We are completely focused on our family and love watching our children grow. We have learned to enjoy the moment and to not take life for granted. So sit back and take a look at what life is like on the Durbin Express.
Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.--Barack Obama

Thank you for taking time to peak into our lives. Feel free to leave us a comment to let us know you were here. Let us know if you have a blog too by leaving us your url. Thank You!!!!!
